Garden & Agriculture Classes
Gardening & Agricultural Production is an ever changing field and practice with emerging technologies and methodologies. With thousands of years worth of practice and research behind us, we still find new ways to evolve our techniques. At Taproot, we know that not everyone is an expert - neither are we! We want to learn gardening together as a community, which is why we host classes regularly to bring people together and expand our garden knowledge!
Check out our upcoming classes below, and if you don't see a class that you're interested in please email contact@taphydro.com to request your preferred topic!

Georgia Commercial Hemp Cultivation - A Beginners Guide
Details
Join Taproot Hydroponics & Organics for a walkthrough of Georgia Commercial Hemp Licensing application process, and associated costs; as well as an overview of reporting requirements, sampling measures, and harvesting guidelines.
After the United States Congress enacted the 2018 Agricultural Farm Act (also known as the 2018 Farm Bill), the State of Georgia set forth regulations and infrastructure for citizens to grow commercial hemp within the federal guidelines. We can break down the process in easy to follow steps and help you determine whether hemp cultivation is right for you!
Attendees will receive an in-depth guide written by Cody J. Brown, J.D., a Licensed Hemp Cultivator and the CEO of Taproot Hydroponics & Organics. The guide contains a brief history of Hemp and Cannabis in the United States, the differences between Cannabis and Hemp, pre-application considerations, an overview of the application process, guidelines and restrictions, Frequently Asked Questions, and a collection of resources for those who still have questions.
While this class is FREE of charge, we do ask for voluntary donations to our MeetUp fundraiser, from those who can, to help cover printing costs associated with the Application Licensing Guide.
Please Note: Attendees will be required to sign a legal disclaimer acknowledging that the information given during this class is not legal advice. If an attendee has a question which requires legal advice, our host is happy to provide a referral to an attorney with experience in the Hemp Licensing process within the State of Georgia.
